I've been thinking about it for a while now, And should I go PC or Console? My mom said to me that I could either get a new computer for chirstmas (400-500$) or a console. At first I picked the PS3 but all i'd really be able to play are rated T games. (dads a hard ass on that sorta thing). It would be easyer to get games for the comp because I could just say "woops, I didn't notice it was rated M".

So, PC or Console?

You can not pirate games with a PC, so it wouldn't matter with ratings. If they say no, you just do nto pirate it, pirating games is bad, don't do it.

I'm a console gamer, I spend atleast 3/4s of my day on any game I have in whatever console I've decided to play. I killed my social life for gaming.
But, I would suggest getting a PC for gaming. It's alot simpler in terms of having to set up online and if you have a good PC you wont get troubles/problems like you do with consoles.

Get a PC. It's worth more in the long run.

it depends. if you can actually afford a kickass computer ($500-$1000), get one. otherwise, get a console. really, the only good thing about pcs is that you can pirate games.

I prefer console game, but that is solely due to the fact that I don't have the money to buy the computer that would make PC gaming worth while.

Get a PC if your not allready used to console. I'm crap at pc games because im used to consoles so thats why I use xbox. But the PC is better at everything and the games are cheaper. And you get Tf2 updates.

Pc is much better for so many things.
You can updte graphics and pretty much everything for a PC and you don't need to buy the latest "hit" from any of the other consoles. You have plenty items on your choice.


And let me say that for a lot of times, i stroke PC gaming better than any console.

I saw Far Cry 2 comparisings for xbox, ps3 and Pc.

I'm hella thinking about getting a PC, and I have 200$ from my birthday to spend on nothing but upgrades,accessories, or games. I want to get a system, but i'm starting to get more into comp games. Mom said she'd get me a good comp that's like 500$... hmm, more voters. It'll help my decision.

With PC games, you have to worry about a lot of things, like adjusting settings, having good enough hardware, etc.

With consoles, you never have to worry about a game running worse on yours than anyone else's console. The game will run the same way on ever 360, every PS3, or every Wii.

With PCs, however, some game genres are easier and more fun to play, and you tend to get more power than the current consoles.

With Consoles, you are stuck with the same level of power for 4-6 years.

Buy a console if you actually have friends to play with.

PC gaming got boring for me a few years back when I realized that the only games that I found were actually worth playing were Steam games. If you're choosing between which would be better for gaming, I'd definitely go with a console. I think it would be a waste to buy some fancy computer that costs twice as much as a 360, just for the sole purpose of playing games. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

You couldn't just do that for console games?

And I say console, mostly because my computer is never good enough to run games in the quality that I would like to, but my console will. You clearly don't have enough cash to build a good gaming pc, so there's no point.

Mom's giving me 400$'s for christmas, I got 200 I'm going to throw on top of it. 600$ to build a comp right there =P.

I'm going to pick PC, My uncle an my mom will help me put it together and my uncle might let me borrow a decent moniter (he has like 7 o.o...). And i'll upgrade it over the years and stuff, and for games, I'm going to ask my grandparents and my other relatives for a game. =3, I feel lucky xD.

Pc gaming is dead. Console.

Or you could buy a 360, like 4 games, and then ask for another game from your grandparents.
