Alright. I strongly doubt that this is a good place to ask for this, seeing as the majority of users probably lacks any experience, but maybe that makes it even better. I don't know.

My girlfriend's coming around tomorrow and I want to surprise her by turning my room into a motherfucking lovenest or however the hell you want to call it. I mean, you know, all romantic and shit.

Romantic's the keyword.
Give me some ideas to make it seem you know... warm, comfortable and romantic in this shithole of a torture chamber.
I've got candles. I've got some french cologne to hurl around here. But it basically ends right there.
I need ideas. Anything. Also, songs. Romantic songs for... well you know. Creating the atmosphere. Nothing too extraordinary, though. Focus on singing and such, that's what's most important for her in songs. Some decent RnB artists would be appreciated, but any other kind of music will do as long as it doesn't turn into fu
cking Death Metal halfway in or something. Be considerate. Gentle.

Get going please, thanks.

If you have a pretty bright room, use really dim lights. Dim lights give some sort of warm feel.

I'm thinking of bands like Aqualung. Brilliant songs, pretty mellow. I'll get a few links.

Lyrical wise it may not be completely fitting but the tone of the whole song creates a good feel.

oh lawd how 'bout sum Damien Rice?

Thanks a lot.
Yeah, I think I won't use any artifical light but only that of the candles.

Lyrics don't matter, her english is terrible anyway. Heh.

Is this what the song was for? Especially since it's titled "For Kristina"?

Heh, yeah. It's for her. Not necessarily for tomorrow, but it's infact for her. She likes pianos x). Do you like the song as you have it now, by the way? You know, just asking. ^.^

Everything matters in small proportions. The scattered pettals would be nice in areas where you figure she'd look more often. A table, desk or small area like that. Some vases with same-colour-but-different-shade flowers are absolutely gorgious. Spray a bit of perfume incase she decides to smell/look/hold them. It's beautiful in any situation. If she isn't good with the language, I think she'd appreciate some soft instrumental music or something touching upon something she likes. If she likes beaches, find a song that lightly touches wave sounds or birds. Something to keep you interested in the song.

I'll think more later.

Make sure the temperature is inviting. You'll be in luck if it's raining outside, because that'll make INSIDE seem amazingly cozy if you tune the lights right and keep it warm.

You mentioned candles: Remember to still use a light, as long as it's dim. Candles really don't cut it for actual lighting purposes, unless you have a LOT of them.

Don't go overboard though, you don't want to look like a try-hard.

Light's redundant from my view. She hates light. Well... that sounds a little too far stretched, but she'd like it a lot better if you could barely see anything. Also, I love the way candles-only light throws so many interesting shadows in faces and such.
Oh, and I actually did steal roses when I said that. Gotta love elderly neighbours and their fancy gardens.

Yay solister. No better advice could be given than yours.

She doesn't like it. >_>

For lack of lyrics. Which is why I contacted uprising rapper Gavel to record some lyrics for a song for her.
If that gets done till tomorrow, it sure is in the playlist. Also, audix, look at my thread with that orchestral shit in main "Einsam". I found that edirol thing and tried it out a little.

That just made my day.

Light compliments always make someone smile. I can say the same for touching her. Every so often, touch her hand, shoulder or anything else you see fit. Eventually, she'll catch on. I'm not saying one thing could lead to another, but she'll feel happy inside. As long as it's not too fast or light to be noticed easily. Make sure the music is at a minimum, but still loud enough to hear. If it's too loud, then shut off, she'll feel uneasy or void of human contact. Like after listening to music, then shutting it off, she might feel that way, but with a bigger impact with all of the things around her. That's just me though. If she's different, she's different.
