(This is a response to Coldzero's animation >.>)
It was a little choppy, it wasn't very fluent and the stick figures re-sized a lot. Check out VCAM also, it would add a lot more force and would make it easier on you to do perspectives. It also makes the animation a lot more interesting. (It can also help you cut corners)
So... yeah... practice, and watch some tutorials, that's it. Oh, and try a higher FPS.
Beginners, post your Flash animations here.

Okay, I guess I can PM you a .fla with VCAM, it is kinda like having a video camera in your flash, hard to explain. Re-sizing is your stick figures not keeping to a specific size ratio. Got it?

Okay. I still dont get the Re-sizing thing. Can you send me an animation where there's one animation that animated by not using Re-size and the other one by using Re-sizing. Like:
Animation Animation
No Re-size Re-size
Still the same animation.

Ok Coldzero re-size isn't a tool it's when your stick person isn't the same the next frame it could be smaller or wider but it's not the same you have to keep it one size.

First of all, waaaay too much text time for what's there for the first one, and it just cuts off suddenly, and I'm really not sure if the entire combo actually was animated.
not sure what to say for the second, looks alright.
As to getting out, do so whenever you like. This has it's drawbacks, however... Such as getting eaten alive for a sub par animating ability, for example, or some other such thing.
Up to you, in the end.

So I wanted to post my first stick animation.
It's a big deal to me. Haha. I get intimidated while drawing sticks because I don't think they look right. Can I have some tips? I need to get more consistency.

for the first time, try animating more of the actual movement. after an impact like that, no one will move quickly, and it will look more natural. for the second, not really sure. Having it sit for a few times the animations length isn't necessary though. I'll let someone with more experience in the field cover the effects. overall, I'd suggest starting simple, then working a few things together. simple movement, effects, easing and anticipation could be things to work on.

Okay, so I'm working hard! I'm trying to get basics down like anticipation, easing and force. This is another one that I made. It feels like it isn't right. I need help pointing out where I'm going wrong and what needs to be done to hone my skills. Please, pointers!
