Work on all the basics. Walking, running, blood and other basic movements. Although, as you are about to see, I'm not one to talk. This is like my 10th Flash, but on most of them I have just been messing around. So....

Fridge, I can see a multitude things wrong with your jump. First of all, as you have already pointed out, the preparation for the jump looks very weird. Also, when your stickman is airborne, he should not travel through the air at such a slow rate. It looked like he was slithering through the air, to be honest. Also, you must work with size consistency. Your character was constantly shrinking through the entire anim!

I do not mean to be offensive or hypocritical with these remarks.

Try increasing the frames per second to like 16. 18 is the best though.

Also, cryztal, that is a good punch. I still don't know the basics of punching or kicking and I've been with flash for 2 months.

That wasn't the best first Flash I've seen, it was actually really bad.

Sorry to say so, but you need to read tutorials, work on physics and some more stuff.

Who? the title of the thread is "Beginners, post your Flash animations here", not "Greatest animations ever".

Here is my first attempt at a running stickman. My mom and sister said he looks very angry, but that just makes the animation cooler. Tell me what you think.

I think he should jump a little higher. Also, there is resizing when the stick starts running. Try to fix that. And yes, it does look better at 24 FPS.
