Medically, I wouldn't say it's "bad" for anyone, although it certainly isn't improving your health (I'm aware of its beneficial medical effects, don't point those out to me)

What it does to each person depends on a case by case as far as how they react to it, and that's not really something that can be blamed on the drug.

as in, do you believe in harmful long term effects of using it?

not talking about using it and getting hit by a car because you thought it was a giant lamp

Nope, never has it been proved that marijuana harms you in any way. I seriously hope someone wants to argue about this topic because I'm probably gonna get caught by my parents soon and I needs the practice to help convince them it's alllright.

From what I understand we don't know much about the effect of long term usage, but I'm convinced that if you smoke a lot for a long time it does something to your brain, as a friend of mine used to smoke a lot, and I think I noticed a difference, and he says he did himself, and therefore decided to step down.

In small quantities, though, I don't think it's especially bad for you. Smoke in your lungs is never good, and occasionally you can do stupid things because of it, though that has more to do with yourself than the weed in my opinion.

I guess it is with weed as it is with pretty much everything else in the world: It's good/unharmful in moderate amounts, but too much is never good.

depends on how you use it.

if you smoke it, then yea, it affects your lungs. because you know, you're inhaling smoke.

if you eat it you can OD on it easier because the effects take longer to kick in so you think you didnt eat enough so you eat alot more.

wikipedia:
In spite of this, a recent large-scale study found no correlation between heavy marijuana use and lung cancer, despite noting that cannabis contains the same carcinogens as tobacco. The same study found a 20-fold increase in lung-cancer rates of smokers who consumed two or more packs of cigarettes per day.[59] These researchers postulated that the THC present may have a "protective effect" by causing aging cells to die before they become cancerous.

sounds way healthier than cigarettes.

and there have been 0 deahts by marijuana alone, and over 400,000 a year by tobacco, 100,000 by alcohol and even aspirin kills more than marijuana does.

Slightly true, while smoking anything can never be good I've never felt a difference in my lungs and I know people who have been smoking it for waay longer than me and who have also never really noticed a difference. Also there have been many studies and all concluded that smoking herb doesn't have any correlation with lung cancer

Actually it's pretty damn impossible to od on marijuana, the quantities you would have to smoke or eat are just ridiculous. No ones ever od on it, I think the amount you would have to smoke it like a couple hundred pounds in like 20 minutes or something, I can't remember exactly but you would pass out way before you got even close to od'ing.

To OD on pot you have to smoke/eat/whatever 52,000 pounds of it in 12 minutes.

you aren't going to OD on pot anytime soon.

Not really. It's not that bad for you. If you smoke it though, obviously the smoke is bad.

That's why you either eat it or buy a vape, or make a vape.

I've smoked weed myself, and I too have never noticed any difference in my lungs because of it. However, when I inhale, I do notice that my lungs are irritated by the smoke, something I take as a sign of it being bad for them. Also, there's other ways of hurting your lungs than giving them cancer. People smoking cigarettes are usually in a worse condition than people who don't, even if the don't have lung cancer.

That makes no sense. It's obviously individual, as we all are slightly different in numerous of different aspects. It would be weird if there was some magi number of which you suddenly Od'ed at.

Yeah I'm not saying that smoking it is entirely good for your lungs, but that's why we have edibles.

And the lung cancer thing was just me jumping the gun on anyone who would have used that as an argument.
