ye we know yours are at the sig. to everone whos posted over the last 3 pages except for people like ultimate stickman:

do exactly what ultimate stickman told you to do. all your anims were choppy, stiff, no easing, no physics and was unrealistic. so read some tuts on first smoothness and stiffness, then easing, then physics, then individual movements. once youve done all that start off with somethng like a punch, then do a kick, then a walk, then a run, then a running kik combo, etc etc. for a good tutorial, see this: http://www.darkdemon.org/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=22662

note: read one movement through, like the walk, then practice it until you perfect it and can do it with your eyes closed (not literally obviously).

whn youre learning a move like a wave, youll probably go from something like this:

to this:

to this:

and dont settle for the first or second one thinking youve perfected it. in fact, dont even settle for the third, as that only took 30 seconds. practice until it looks really realistic, then move on. that is all.

WOO LONG POST!!

A3RO 360:
i would if i could see an anim of yours. post one of your anims, and maybe ill give some crit.

and Zsdery - shut up, that wasnt helpful and to be honest youre not much better than most of them. you need to work on stiffness and easing. and please dont use double framing like that. did you read baha's tutorial?

[edit]
sorry A3RO i must have missed yours. pretty much you got some good ideas, and are very adventurous, but before you do long animations with all effects in, you gota perfect stuff like running and walking. geez didnt anyone read my last post?! i think i should make a separate thread just to say that and sticky it. read through my last post, please! it took me 20 minutes to make it so i think i deserve some of you to take notice. and A3RO please dont pm people asking them to comment your anims. i might leave the beginners section just because of all the idiots who dont even try round here.

1) Your not that important here, so no ones really keeping you here.
2) Don't use rust as a excuse , you cant be rusty if you haven't learned anything properly , you cant forget anything.
3) Also you need to learn how to apply easing too.

And to learn how to apply easing you don't just have to know how is it done , you have to put effort in it , practice and have patience.
And don't hold your selves down with short anims , make longer difficult one , just because you don't succeed at it doesn't mean you don't get better , or even get worse, you get experience.

i think he was talking to me when i said i was rusteh. and i am to a little extent, as i havent animated in a couple of weeks at least. and if you were talking to me, i know i have to do my easing better, but i think i was ok at it before. i just need to practice again.

[edit]
and by here i meant this section, not the whole forum, and im sorry if it came out arrogant or anything, its just i was getting pissed off at helping people, them not listening, posting another one back straight away with the same problems, then PMing me asking me to C&C teir anim and not babble on in general. so you know, im in a BLAH mood anyway.

[edit 2]
and stormwalker, i see what you mean about actually using easing properly in my anims, and about not making short ones. the thing is i run out of good ideas, and when i try i usually get stuck, and end up getting fed up and dumping it. i dont seem to be enjoying animating as much any more anyway :(

If you were good ( which is something i don't remember ) You cant loose that much skill , inters+ can be rusty cuz they have learned things to a respectable level , they have something to forget.

Both pics are good.
In fact you're obviously better than me and other people at easing and other stuff.
Yeah I've only used pivot for about two months.(Downloaded at March,7 2008)

Here's my actual walkImage.Sorry if the fps are very fast. What do I need to change with my walk?
