My birthday's coming up, and I'm gonna get a PS3, but I don't know any good games for PS3. Suggestions?

Fallout 3.
Far Cry 2, despite it not being as incredible as thought, it's still a nice game to play.
Call of Duty: World at War. It's out pretty soon and seems pretty good.
Little Big Planet. I don't like the look of it, but it could be a good game, and from reviews it seems good.
Dead Space.
Mirror's Edge.
DC comics VS Mortal Kombat. I don't know when that's out, to be honest. But whatever.

Eh, can't think of many more. Maybe Fifa or PES 09.

The PS3 has only a few exclusives and a few of that few are good, get a 360 or invest in a gaming PC like the smart gamers.

Honestly, a 360 isn't all that different and I highly doubt you'll want exclusive games. Since the good games are released on all consoles. Because they're good games.

It's got some bad reviews. The gameplay isn't brilliant, but for the sheer freedom in the game, and how destructable the environment is, I'd say get battlefield: bad company.

The IGN review thought highly of it, the one I read anyway. The only bad thing about the game is character animations. They all look so dull and expressionless.
Flux, have you played the game? The game play is great.

Fallout 3 is like Oblivion, you can tell they're related in ways. But that doesn't take away from it being a brilliant game.
I bought the game with high hopes, I can't say they've been matched, but I can say it was worth the money and is worth the time I'm gonna spend on it.

Yeah, the gameplay is OK. The only bad thing is I don't feel like the enemies are engaging enough. And if you get hit (which seems to happen increasingly so in the game), and your health drops, all you need to do is inject yourself with some of the unlimited supply of adrenaline you have to restore your health. In some battles that's all you do - come out from behind cover, spray a round, get hit, go back behind cover, heal yourself and repeat.

Apart from that, however, it is a REALLY good game, and I recommend buying it.

Because Fallout 3 doesn't have unlimited supply of adrenaline from what I know. If anything, I'm constantly in a battle to find more shit that can heal me and not kill me through radiation.
Far Cry 2, you always have those syringes and shit, you can heal yourself easily and quickly.
