The framerate issue will have to do with your browser, change to firefox or opera to fix it.

Now as you stated, the bouncing does look weird. That is because your moving the ball in straight lines, not nice curvy ones. Also the ball's speed is way off, it speeds up and slows down randomly. It should be be moving across the screen slower and slower and should speed up while going down, and slow while going up. (basic physics) Also, the ball bounces back up to the same height, this is bad, very bad, you bad little boy, bad bad bad. It should lose height with every bounce.

Now the particles are also not good. Particles generally start large, the become small, Yours are big and wobbly all through. Also, air resistance should effect them, thus, if they are moving they should become slower and slower until they stop or disappear.

oh it needs to stay flattened a bit longer for like i dont know if its at 8 frames per second 3 frames

well, you're just starting animation, you can't be expected to produce eye orgasming material. for first animations, they are pretty good.

Moch - you need to add more easing and work on your particles. Also wobbliness and resizing is an issue on the sticks.

Tork - You have skill! Just work on the stiffness and lack of easing and you'll be great!
