Holy shit, I just saw this, and I have to say it was ****ing awesome. It's a complete roast of religion, but even the religious should see it, because it is so goddamned funny. I was in stitches through almost the entire film.
Bill Maher, comedian, treks all around the world interviewing major figures in Islam, Judaism, and Christianity, asking them questions about what they think about inconsistancies and fantastic claims in their bible and their religious lives. The best part of it, though, is that most of the "dirty work" is done by the interviewees themselves. He proves his points by asking questions, and they do the rest.
Definately the best documentary I've seen in a while. Just like what I see here in Oklahoma, many of the Americans he interviews, when they realize that he doesn't think that their God exists, are absolutely flustered and incredulous, as if they have never even CONSIDERED that one could think differently than themselves.
He interupts people occasionally, and it can be a bit annoying, but usually it is with some form of humorous question or joking statement, so it's not like he's letting them get their point across (Especially since he only really interupts people who are spewing gibberish.)
Also, he only really shows the more extreme examples of religion, not very many people-on-the-street, though he does interview some tourists at a bible-themed amusement park.
I reccomend this to anyone who has ever laughed at jokes about their own religion, and to all agnostics and atheists.
P.S. This movie inspired me to begin to come out of that holy mop-filled church closet, so I'm working it in with my family that I'm at least agnostic.
Religulous

I think I was damn lucky it was showing in my theatre. I live in Oklahoma, the center of the Bible Belt.

managers don't have power of what movie shows at their theater, the company does. and its too late anyways.
