I need to make myself a geek. A huge geek. Give me suggestions on how to do that. Whether it's pointless little command prompt tricks, hacks, mods, hardware, etc. I need every geek tip out there.

Take a Network Technology class, that'll help you out a lot.

Would if I could.
And I am building a computer already. I have about half of it done but I ran low money. For some reason, I thought it would be fun to buy a subnotebook. I named it jr. NALT, because my actual notebook is NALT (yes, it's an acronym). There goes my computer building cash. But it's fine, because jr. NALT bumped up my geek status quite a bit.

1. Subscribe to a specialty magazine or journal, like Nuts & Volts or Cinefex. Make this magazine on a topic that interests you. Read them from cover to cover and in each issue pick out three words you've never heard of before. Memorize these and try to use them often.
2. If you haven't picked your chosen topic, decide what you would like to become "obsessed" with. Think long and hard because you will be spending possibly your whole life on this topic. It can be as specific as Marie Antoinette, as broad as space, or contemplate a need to be fulfilled (e.g. Bill Gates with the computer). If you chose a specific topic, you will be expected to know more about it, like exact dates that things happened.
3. Go to Wikipedia once a week (or daily if you prefer) and type in your chosen interest. You can vary your search if you want. An example would be say you are a space geek. You could research "TV shows that take place in space" one week, "Women in space" the next, and so on and so forth. If your topic is specific, like a specific person, then most likely you will have an extremely long article. Save in your "Favorites" and come back to it next week so you can tackle one section at a time. If you feel like your memory is slipping on something, feel free to go back to it.
4. Buy at least three small electronic gadgets. Not cheap ones; they must all be worth over $50. Clip these onto any convenient part of your clothes. Stay away from such trite things as MP3 players, and get something unique like a Universal TV Remote.
5. Never wear clothes that are in style. At the same time, don't wear nerdy clothes from the 80's, as this is a dead giveaway. Try wearing shirts that have to do with inside jokes from cult classic movies or books, or try something sci-fi or Computer Related. Try to be individual and wear what no one else does. You could also dress goth or dress punk as these are both non-comformist styles.
6. Learn C++, Java, or another programming language. After you are comfortable with language such as C++, Java, Python, Perl, etc. Move on to Web based programming such as javascript, HTML, and CSS. And go beyond just learning the language, familiarize yourself with the history of the programming language and what it can be used for in real life.
7. Learn as much as you can about computers and electronics. Know your operating system from the inside out, and study other operating systems as well. Learn about how computers work; if you can, take one apart and put it back together. Learn how to make a computer out of scratch and build a fully personal computer of your own.
8. Read, and don't skim and scan, read. Read at least ten classic books, like Les Miserables, War and Peace, or Deutschland Ein Wintermarchen. Also read books that have to do with your topic. Visit the library and get at least six books either pertaining to your topic or a classic book (above). Then, go back to the library when those are due and take six more, etc.
9. Watch cult classics like a true geek. This means watching the original Star Wars, Star Trek and Doctor Who.
10. Make friends with other geeks. The best way to be one is to be friends with one. Together you two can learn and teach each other more about computers and electronics, and you can have fun doing geeky things. Better yet, make friends with several geeks and participate in activities together. But do not only stick with geeks. You will better off if you have a best friend or best friends that are geeks, and a few (or a lot) that aren't.
11. Avoid trendy hairstyles. You could use the hairstyle given to punks or goths (see step 5) or if you chose not to be punk or goth, you could wear stereotypically geeky hair. However, if there is a different hairstyle that you like but is not "mainstream", feel free to wear it. For boys, a bowl-cut is common, preferably your mom cutting it with a old bowl.

God damn. That's one way.

Start carrying loads of USB thumbdrives. I have 2, a 512MB and a 2GB and I plan on getting another. I got plenty of "Hacking" tools on there. I got something that can trace a website and see what nodes it makes you go through before arriving at the main server, I got SIW which can uncover some passwords and the OS Product Key and I got the mother of all bombs.

A zip bomb. It's a super backed rar file thats 42KB in size but when you unrar it it bombs your hardrive with 4200TB and ****s your shit up. Haven't tested it, and I don't plan to.

I'm also looking into Brute Forcing.

Learn in your own way how to program a window manager, and antivirus for *nix in C. Then learn how to manage a network using CISCO, and buy around 5 cheap laptops, each under $50, install linux on them, and set up a full working, and secured network, like one would expect a major business to have. Once you have done that, you can consider yourself a nerd. No one can tell you how to achieve that though, that part is up to you...

Constantly spout memes and what not. Or constantly refer the SPP and other sites that you visit.
