I've always wanted to map something using an image from the Venus Project as my reference but most of them are impossible to map but I found a good one and did it.

A solar energy gathering plant in the middle of the ocean. Came out pretty well for 10 minutes of work.

That was really good. I also map but mostly shitty stuff. Though I know how to make elevator, trains ect.

But yea it turned out really good.

You can make an elevator and train?

Tell me how, every tutorial I follow is total shit. I'm fine with brushwork and making a map look good but as far as moving things go, I can't figure out shit. I want things like getting NPC's to follow a path, making a train pass over some tracks on a loop every so often and etc.

I think you should put more effort in something before you post it. :P

It was built under the Episode 2 Engine so yeah, but I could convert it for any source game.

What tutorial? I tried, and the tutorial was always shit either because the guys accent was thick, he was moving too fast or it just didn't work. I tried one with a prop elevator and it was on it's side and broken.

Hell just one with closing doors and a moving box of brushes is all I need. I can contruct my own elevator.

Alright I'll look into that, thanks.

I need to learn how to make things move and shit. I got awesome ideas and it'd really improve my maps. I also need to learn machinima type things.

Yeah I tried that out, so awesome and it's better than the 2 other camera STOOLs. Hardest part would be filming, actually creating the scene seems kinda easy.
