you have a great sense of force/reaction already and you even have some trails in there at the right places.

I think the next step for you would probably be just working on stick construction and I have a small tutorial on youtube for that.

hmm.. its way better than my first one :P im even a shame to show it :P ur pretty darn good for 1st one :/ ... i see ull have a bright future :D :D
on the ani, try some easing, adding little frames, on hits so the hit would pause a little... weird movement, but its ur first.. hey and also did u use brush, line, pencil for ur ani??

for a first this is pretty good, I suggest you do whats in that tutorial. But don't forget to do what you like, you're not on a contract :)

Jonny man, ur really good at flash. That animation, well sure, it wasnt the best, but for a first, that was awsome. ^^
