It was someone who worked there.
Another couple of deaths due to Black Friday.

I wish I was there to smack people with a baseball bat for stampeding. No, **** that, I'd want a pipe bomb to kill all of them.
This kind of herd mentality is sickening.
Maybe a cattle prod would be more appropriate.

Quote from BetaI still don't understand why this is so sad, or why this pisses you guys off.
Why black Friday is sad: It's the day marking the beginning of christmas season, and what you do is buy stuff. I cannot think of a sader way to mark the coming of christmas. Seriously, buying stuff? I'm usually not so very "we humans are oh so materialisitic, it's destroying usalalalala," but I actually do live in this grand illusion that christmas is a time of love and joy, and therefore it saddens me seeing it celebrated like this.
Why a man being trampled to death by people obsessed with buying stuff at discount prices is sad: I'm not sure if an explanation should be needed for this, but here goes: A man died a completely unnecessary death. This guy had a family and people that loved him. People whose christmas, and probably life, now is ruined. Why? Because we like buying stuff. Especially when it's cheap.
I get that you are not mourning his death. It doesn't affect me much on a personal level either, but that you fail to realise that this is a sad thing on any level beats me. How can you be completely indifferent to the death of another, even if this another was a man you would most likely never have met or even heard of unless he died this way?
(Also, I know that I made the huge assumtion that just because he was a human being he had a family and people that loved him, I realise that this a horrid generalisation of the human race, and I apologise if it offended any of you.)

FAIL .
Honestly, if you're buying stuff, why join a giant stampede? Why not use, say, the Internet?
Meh.

That is so ridiculous. I hope there is a countersuit by the police department for wasting the court's time.
