THE LONG TIME FLASH TOURNAMENT 2008 HAS BEGUN

Round 1: Best spell

2 stick figures, the spell caster and the victim. The effect of the spell has to be noticeable on the victim and the spell itself has to be noticeable (you may draw anything from a huge light to a small spark, or if you have any other ideas use them…) For a 10/10 you have to add clothing to the spell caster and give him a wand/staff. The effect of the spell on the victim may be any. There can be many spells than one.


FRAME RATE: 20 FPS
RESOLUTION: 550X400
DURATION: Up to 1 minute, minimum 4 seconds
Deadline: 25th of March

You get:
-1 point if there are two characters in your animation, a spell caster and a victim
-1 point if the spell caster has a wand/staff
-1 point if the spell caster has clothing
-1 point if the spell itself can be seen
-1 point if the effect of the spell can be seen
-1 point if you have a decent background
-1 point if the animation is long enough
-Up to 3 points for the quality of the animation

I am almost done with my animation :Happy: I didn't put too much effort in it...*worried* but...it's pretty good...

Is the concept of this-
"however-many rounds, whoever has the most points at the end wins, (10 points for 1st , 5 for second, 3 for third in each round)
or
"each round, people get eliminated"
or
"lol, i dont even know how this'll work"

Mhm. No offence but the rules are kinda.. uhm. I don't know. It is easy to gain the points

Since I have to give lets say 7 points for your animation already. because you had those things. But I will give you points in a pm in a second. Cause a cape is still clothing. even if I didn't really liked the clothing.

I have a suggestion, don't know if it will work tho.

But that you can give 1-10 points for every thing you did. Like for clothing you can give 1-10 points. Then if you have 10 things. the total score you can get is 100. because, then you can give points depending on how the clothing looks. cause some may have like a total armor, and one may only have a beaten up boot. but it is clothing, so I have to give 1 point (max) to both. even if the other one was total crap and the other mega good. They get the same points

Like clothing 1-10
background quality 1-10 points
the animation itself 1-10 points
etc. That makes the judging a bit more advanced, and more fair.

EDIT LOOK DUDES: well yeah. well not completly true what I said above, since you don't have to have a decent background and stuff. But still, most people will have one decent one, so. It is still easy to get above 7 points. but the ruling thing is fine =D
