Anyone got it yet? And if so, would you recommend it? I still using 8 cause CS3 sucked and thinking about upgrading now that CS4 is out...

This is sort of my view, why should I upgrade? What features would I benefit from?

I heard Adobe was going to put a 3D objects engine or something to create "realistic" 3D animations :'.

sounds good if they pull it off right. But I wanna hear from some someone who has it and hear what they like about it over Flash 8 or CS3. I hear its good though, so that's good :D

Well I still use flash 8, its what im confortable with. CS3 was bad and from the trial of CS4 I got that they basicly fixed the CS3 stuff, threw in the flash 8 stuff they ****ed up in CS3 and the AS3 is alot more flexable than 2, although I know minimal when it comes to it. I still use CS3 sometimes, its wasn't a bad program, just not quit finished and worth paying for the upgrade.

I never looked into it, I stuck to what I needed to use and fooled around with the odd new thing.

I got it since it came out. Haven't checked out its full potential, but it has AS3, which is sooo much better and advancer then two. The ''+'' thing at actions, is more now too which makes it much easier to understand [Seeing as you do lots of AS]

Everything is basically better [New modes, filters, AS, animation, things, Mini-3d] The reason I don't use it is because, the brush size is still goddamn small. I'm hating macromedia for that shit : \

If you’re sticking with Flash and you decide to upgrade to Flash CS4, I think you’ll be blown away by it. There are a few persistent gripes, such as masking, audio, video format export, brush sizes & shapes, colour management and the Timeline. However, certain new features have thrilled the shit outta me! They include armatures (Inverse Kinematics), 3D movieclip translate/scale/rotate, the Motion Editor (an amazing, kickarse version of the old Custom Ease window), Spray Brush (which can spray movieclips all over the Stage - perfect for say, millions of flowers in a meadow, animated swaying in the breeze) and completely new motion tween model.

Don’t be daunted by all the new features and workflows though.. Adobe have kindly left the old methods in there so you can gradually ease into the new stuff at your own pace. You can still use the old tween model and custom ease graph.

Well I don't use the brush tool that much, and when I do I use it I use the small brush sizes anyways. So I think I might upgrade I'm really liking the features I'm hearing :D
