You owe me 100% of what you make since I made that animation.

Really? because I have far more than enough proof that begs to differ. I know your'e joking though. :D

The person who came in second who just made a music video for "sentual seduction" had a problem with copyright because they didn't send back permission. I thought slanted's animation would beat his anyway. =/

That's the thing! Everybody from this site would definetly win this competition. There were 5 acceptable animations there that stood a chance of even passing the newgrounds judgement into the portal. And spam makes it into the portal. There were 10 animations. One was called Pimple Dream. I will try to find it online to see if the guys posted it. I asked what was with them and this is what they said:

"This is uh.. a animation about a dream our teacher told us about about having pimples." I asked the framerate.

8 fps

I cant wait to see what they will make next year.

Now don't get me wrong, the top 5 animations were pretty acceptable and well-made. I have a feeling that some of you guys would have still beaten me if you were in. They really are not into stickfigures however. I had to go fullbody for this one.

Even if my animation was the shortest in duration (approx. 70 seconds excluding credits), It beat them! I thought the duration alone would kill me in the competition. =/

But yeah, this site is full of talent. Search for a competition! They're pretty fun to get into, especially if money is on the line.

Now when you say monochrome you mean staying near the same scale of gray? because it is already black and white. Maybe I do need to darken the sun and moon just to have the colors fit more in a crisp, fitting way. :P

I actually meant that instead of black and white you should have different shades and tints of a single color, example: http://www.art-rageous.net/2003/SK-Monochromatic.jpg. Just different shades of purple, but you could use blue, green, whatever. Just a thought.

('Pologies for all the art terms, I'm just used to it.)

We'll I have heard monochrome, I just forgot the term's meaning.

I'm into the Black&whites. Color is not my forte.

Thank you for the helpful comment, glass. I am glad you liked it.

Thanks XCell!

I really appreciate the support I have gotten from this site as well as the comments I have gotten from you guys. It means alot to me to have the site that taught me actually like something I made!!

Comment, C&C, in the flash thread, please, because that is what the thread was sort of made for. This thread is mostly for the news of my victory, and for a thanks to you all. I am so happy that I have won the competition and I felt a need to let you know. So post what you will. I will still accept comments and stuff about the animation, I dont care really.

>:3 Send me some adresses for mailing you some money if you really want it. I might just mail you some apalling things in a box as a joke instead of a check, but hey, it will be fun!

Yeah honestly I like it black and white. It gives it some style, and makes the name "Twilight" seem to fit better.

Well they are judges that care more about the message and the meaning of the animation than the quality/smoothness oth it. There was this star wars flick that was 3D, really smooth and fluent, and had many effects. I could not find many flaws other than ones you can just blame on being 3d and stuff. It really instilled fear into my heart thinking that I wont win thanks to this kid. It was a really well done movie but it had no substance whatsoever.

That is why I think the quote at the end won me the whole contest. It added substance to the animation that finished the "piece". The judjes were really hard for that. I was against alot of noobs, but I still feel as though I worked hard enough to deserve to win.

I do not disagree with you that it can look a bit shaky and shoddy and I do not mind nor take offense that you don't like the animation. It isn't among the theme for this forum for violence or action. (no blood allowed in the competition)

Thats what I was going for with twilight, Pirate. :3

Due to me not being able to find any smart-ass comments,
Ill be nice. I didnt really get what was going on, but the animation in whole was cool. The music really connects the animation.

OMFG. You serious. Congratulations man!

I should really start animating for school, district, province contests. They don't seem that hard to win at all, and you get payed (Plus a trophie.. wow). It beats animating for stickpage where you have to place "presented by stickpage" everywhere (nooffence, lol).

And good luck on your next competition man. :3

They aren't hard to win if you really focus your time on making a good project. I'll tell you guys how the state contest goes. The school and regional competitions, other than one, when I look back, are not very impressive, but acceptable.

You definetly have the talent to make some big money in sponsored contests. Look for some stuff online and make some random projects. You actually will make a really good wad of cash per animation if it is very good!

But yeah, you should get into fullbody and make some contest animations. Stickfigures, with no offence to the art of stick violence, is frowned upon in these competitions. I mean the judges see entanglement versus Pimple Dream and They will always have "well it is stickfigures" against you.

My animation, in my opinion is not bad. It is acceptable at the least and great at the most. That is just my opinion on it, I mean it is no adam philips production but it could maybe win a prize on NG when I am completely done. But if any actually experienced animator like from here competed, I would get second with no contest through quality, but it is dependant upon what the judges like.

I dont know, the message I want to give is to go out for a contest because you will get income if you take it seriously.
