I did read your post and I really do love writing and drawing.

So all that information from this thread, here in my brain this is what I think: My hobby is either going to be me being an illustrator or a writer and my real job will be something else which will actually get me a fair amount of money. That said, my hobby will get me extra money plus the real job which doubles my profit.

Well if you really love it then here's my advice: first take a lot of writing classes, GOOD writing classes, and if you can find a mentor of sorts. same in college, and you better ****ing get in good with whatever writing teacher you have in college otherwise you're not going to get any help. enter some writing competitions, hopefully win some to get you noticed. also read a lot, a hell of a lot, the classics the up and coming authors everything, as much as you can. Meh that's all for now I suppose, oh and being a writer will NOT double your profit, they don't make that much. Oh and of course write a lot, always write, right now write a short sotry, when bored in class instead of doodling write. Things like that.

English isn't your first language so that's a stumbling block, I've read some of what you've wrote before and I wasn't thrilled.
Seriously, write if you want but know this, you will not make it so don't rely on it to make you money, get a real job.

Also, "Newspapers" as you call it is not a real job.

I know it isn't as it's only like for teenagers and the pay is low but it's the only "legal" job I so far know in UK.

How is a C ever good? You can't get good grades in college/university if you don't have the good grades to get into one. I suggest you start getting all A's and B's at the least to enroll in a good college.
