ah, try to keep quads only as I stated, smoothing ****s up tris with black spots. i pressume you used smoothing groups? these are only good for low poly game characters.

here's a little tutorial to make a nice and clean body for your plane:

That was almost a complete tutorial. It was also extremely helpful.


I'd suggest writing some other tutorials during the winter break if you've got the time. That one was very clear and helpful. Good stuff.
