Underlined - ignore, probably not going to be in the game
Bold - important, probably going to be in the final game
Italics - On the fence whether or not it's going to be in the game.
Alright, I'm just going to go ahead and make an official thread about the new game coming along. This is by no where done, or even started. Right now I'm just going to make comments on things I've been thinking of and you people can give feedback or come up with your own.
STORY:
Make it in an underwater city. Bioshock explored with this, but there was a lot more that could have been done. Don't say deep water doesn't scare you.
GAMEPLAY:
Have a wide choice in arsenal (20 - 30 weapons). Not the usual PISTOLREVOLVERSHOTGUNETC like most horror games. The thing is, you're not going to be able to hold them all.
Breaking of the fourth wall.
Making it open ended. Not linear like most horror games (or side scrollers) out there.
Have areas where you are outside of the city either in diving suits or some vehicle. This would lead to epic boss fights. Weapons and such would work like they were in water.
Ability to draw/holster weapon. You move slower when the weapon is drawn.
