As most of you know, DirectX 10 is a Vista exclusive.

Fuck you microsoft.

And directx 10 makes games look amazing.

Now, I didn't care all that much since my graphics card only supported directx 9, but I got a new one that does support dx10; nvidia 8500gt.

Which is swell.

But still, Fuck you microsoft.

After looking at some directx10 vs directx9 screenshots, I am really feeling like switching to microsoft just for that reason alone.

But god damn, dx10 makes shit look amazing as fuck.

So, fuck it, I'm going to install vista.

No point. Unless you get dual 8500's in SLI you will not be able to enjoy DX10 game quality at high FPS. It'll be laggy as ****. I have a BFG 8600GTX Overclocked and most games in DX9 are slow. Call of duty 4 and crysis for example.

Meh, I'll have to Upgrade to Vista once I get some money.

well, then you probably need a new cpu, more ram, and/or a better power supplly.
