...well, I came to the conclusion that today I would learn to do pixel art. Here is my first attempt:

I tried to give it a good contrast from the character to his surroundings, so I decided upon sillhouetted figures around him that contrasted his main colors. (not literally, as a redish hue does not contrast skin) Feel free to comment on it how you want, I am open to suggestions and critiques. Also, I know the feet are big, but I couldnt do much about it after I already started adding color.

His bottom half is way bigger in proportion to his upper body (Feet > head...)

Also, why do you want to do pixel art? It's sort of lame.

because I want to do rpg games soon. Getting used to drawing in pixels, then I am going to animate in pixels.

It's good, but his legs and feet are massive compared to his head.

Also the arm thats holding the sword is in a funny position.

because pixel art is a unique type of art and it makes any ordinary thing look cool.
