Lately I've had no "inspiration", and havent been able to come up with any game ideas. Im bored and want to start something. If anyone has any awesome ideas, please post. I know this thread may sound n00bish, but I've asked many people for ideas and I have not yet been satisfied with any of them.

When I eventually do find an idea, Id like to maybe get a couple of people involved. Im no good with making games by myself, so if anyone would join that would be shweet.

NOTE: I may not be able to create some ideas because its either impossible or I dont have that much knowledge of actionscript, so keep that in mind when posting :D

just look around at other people's games, and think about how a twist could be added to them. thats what i do :p

Try a turn-base RPG game, I want to make one myself, but I can't until I finish SkyScraper first and then Hot Pursuit.

The flash game pool lacks a lot of old school adventure RPGs like Zelda.

think about things you think are cool and then try and make games from them.

hmm, a game where you have to get a "darkstone" to get immortality

perhaps a sidescrolling stick shooter

do a demonice defense but ur the attacker

what I usually do is take games from the consoles or the pc, that are 3d (obviously) and make em a 2d flash game. Like at one point I tried to make a flash FEAR game, which I never finished. =/

i just can't make games...i don't know where people learn all the AS for it

well... I just picked it up. I sucked bad, all I could do was buttons. but then I just kinda learned and learned and eventually I got pretty good lol.

A platformer with a stick. He has a big ball (A gym ball-like). He can unlock special abilities/attacks to do with his ball. That's it. May sound stupid, but I think it's cool. (Got inspiration, when we got a gym ball)

PS. I would do it myself, but I can't code.. =(

Actually, I'm working on a shopping game where you have a certain amount of time to get all the groceries. The twist is, you can either get a cart or a basket. A cart doesn't turn as fast, and it goes slowr, but it holds more, and the basket is lighter and smaller, so you can manuver with it faster and easier, but it only holds a few groceries. When your basket or cart is full, you have to check out and go find your car to empty your groceries, then go bakc. If you win, you get to go to the next level. If not, you have to start the game over.

See, the best games now are based on odd or obcure things, and you have to make them fun. Like, for instance, Katamari Damacy is based around rolling stuff up into a sticky ball, and you have to make it as big as possible in the set time limit.

lol thats a pretty cool idea, cant wait till its done.
