I usually can't tell the gender of emos.

I once went to the ladies restroom at the cinema and I noticed an emo girl who first struck me as a guy. I almost started yelling to get the **** out lol.

I don't see why people hate emos as a whole because of the few people that act like douchebags. It's like hating Star Trek fans because the few people who spend thousands of dollars on costumes and travel around the country for conventions get noticed more than the people who just think it's good fiction.

I don't really care for the stereotype, but the music..

But to me it seems that over 70% of emos are the attention whoring bastards they are stereotyped as (but maybe I've just seen lots of bad ones). And as the thread had grouped all emos into 1 category, you have to base your decision on the majority.

I hate the stereotypical emotional people.

Just because someone has a scene style doesn't make them emotional.
Emotional=Emo in case someone didn't know somehow.
