when i draw i line and convert it into a symbol how do i move it. i know how to move it, but how does it change direction?

If you want to change a symbols direction, you could eather...

1 - Use the Free Transform Tool to spin the symbol around.

2 - Use the Free Transform Tool to change its size so its going towards where you want it to go.

to move it, just use the selection tool.
