"Hating vista and how windows works is so cool nowadays, I think I'll bitch about it constantly in ANOTHER thread by using hackneyed arguments and shit I've said 400 times already."

Ok so:
Windows XP>[Beta]Windows Vista[/beta]>[demo]Windows 7[/demo]>Windows Closed
So if most applications didnt work for Vista, why the hell would people want Windows 7?
It's like having a XXL T-Shirt if you wear S.

This is new to me. I've had vista for 1.5 years now and this hasn't come up as a problem. Please give some examples because I want to know what you're talking about.

I cant think on any in specific, mostly because I just delete everything that doesn't work and I'm pretty bad with names, but it happened to me a lot.
And I can say that most of addons on game such has Gary's Mod won't work.

..hm? It hasn't come as a problem to me...
Since when is a NEW OPERATING SYSTEM not working with any applications around a valid argument anyway? I thought that happened to most of the other operating systems too. Programmers need time to make versions for the new systems don't they? So why is it such a special case with vista? Because it crashed a while back and still has a few minor bugs? I don't git it. :'(

So huh, just because I can't remember any specific cases it means that it doesn't exist?
Why the hell would I want to lie over a system that's so weak already?
I mean, really now!
It's the bugs, the crashes, the useless, the new more advanced applications such as Microsoft Word, the memory usage that mostly goes to apparel applications such as giant clocks and notebooks on screen. We know it's going to take more memory but that much?
Yea the design is fresh and good, but damn it doesn't cover all the mistakes and screw ups they made up in it.
It seems like they just knew it was going to be a mistake and kept screwing up things, but they didn't care!
Has always Microsoft just made things for the money.
They think that by putting some Asian guys messing up Word(that was a piece of shit too), will make it all right!

I honestly don't think that saying that Vista isn't completely reverse compatable is a valid argument, except when it's touted as being compatible on the box.
No, it's still a full operating system, it's just kind of a side-projectish thing. Just like how Windows Me wasn't meant to be taken as seriously as 2000 and XP.

Yeah I remember specifically saying that.So huh, just because I can't remember any specific cases it means that it doesn't exist?
Again, didn't say that, I just want evidence of what you're saying. I'm not being a dick or anything. I don't see it being weak either. It runs fine for me and I don't see where these attacks against vista are coming from. Am I just inherently offensive? Why the hell would I want to lie over a system that's so weak already?

Some bugs I get, and I'm sure there isn't a computer without bugs. I had 2 crashes in a year and a half(but then again, I don't know about the others who say the machine's ****ing up, I don't treat my computer like shit). I understand the memory problem. It's the bugs, the crashes, the useless, the new more advanced applications such as Microsoft Word, the memory usage that mostly goes to apparel applications such as giant clocks and notebooks on screen. I want you to answer me this now: How often does YOUR vista comuter **** up? They fixed most of the **** ups in the Ultimate version, but I want to know what makes you hate your ocmputer so much? It crashes every 10 minutes? It fails to load every other window you open? Is my computer just god and is invulnerable to everything that happens to you on god's will?Yea the design is fresh and good, but damn it doesn't cover all the mistakes and screw ups they made up in it.
Yeah, true.It seems like they just knew it was going to be a mistake and kept screwing up things, but they didn't care!
Businesses rarely do that I hear.Has always Microsoft just made things for the money.
The new word isn't a piece of shit. It just isn't as good as the other versions. They think that by putting some Asian guys messing up Word(that was a piece of shit too), will make it all right!

So I haven't gotten a definitive "yes" or "no" on my question about anyone trying to download it. I'm asking because I'm trying to but it seems to be stalled on the loading page.

I don't think I'll try. I'll try it out when the alpha comes out, but I don't really want to replace my operating system to test it out....
Jan 10, 2009 8:27 PM #333676
Yeah, um, alpha comes before beta dude... it's given to the internal software programmers... the phase after beta is the release candidate.

Oh. I was misinformed then.
The bug-proof release or whatever then.

I have a good computer and Home Edition. My computer crashed like 2 times in 3 months. And it's annoying because even tough I restart it it usually doesn't work unless I give it like 3 hours. And then restart it again.
If your Vista is working according the ads, by god don't change to W7 because you might have the only Vista in the world who seems to be working flawlessly.
And I hope this new Windows 7 gets it all right for me.

So I found out the only way to successfully navigate the download page is by using IE7 or IE8.
