I live about 45 minutes away from Chicago, the downtown sections are beautiful, but most of the residential areas are pretty run-down. There are some that are really nice, though, it depends on where you're moving.

I have some relatives that live up there, So I use to visit there about once a year. Haven't been there in about 2 years though, Don't remember much except the Hotdogs of this one place are greeeeaaaaaaaaat. Live in Chicago and you're like 6-7 hours away from me by car.
