Yes, I agree. I hate "Hardcore" fans of anything. Just because they can't take a bad thing said about their beloved . Even if it's a fact or an opinion, they can't take it.

I'm a "hardcore" fan of maplestory and I'll admit there are some things that piss me off about it. Really it depends on the person, I know a few hardcore people that will admit the bad things about what they like.

I don't know any hardcore Nirvana fans so I can't really say it bothers me.

Elliott Smiths death is far more interesting than Kurt Cobains.

Some will say they are the best, some will they are god awful, me? I'm in the middle. I honestly think they are overrated, or at least Kurt Cobains singing is. But they have some brilliant songs as well as B side only songs, I think some people should venture outside '' Smells Like Teen Spirit '' and into some of their better stuff, such as Lake of Fire ( One of my favourite songs ), etc.

Also, I hate hardcore fans of any band as well, specially because they hear the most mainstream song of the band, and just listen to that and decide they love the band and will dedicate their life to being simple faggots and rocking out to crap songs all night long.

Ok, to MoD: I can see how people think they're overrated, but you have to give them credit for once being one of the only passionate, creative, bands that just happened to have their sound be moved to mainstream. I love Kurt's voice, you may not, but that's just opinion so I'm not gonna argue that. And I have to agree their B-Sides are great, I definately think "In Utero" was their best album, it has more depth to it than both "Bleach" and "Nevermind" combined. So, I may be a hardcore fan, but by no means do I think their mainstream stuff is the best, or "Smells Like Teen Spirit" for that matter. And also "Lake of Fire" is a cover song by the Meatpuppets. And on a last note, Nirvana was rediculously famous before Kurt's death, "Smells Like Teen Spirit" passed Michael Jackson as the top song, and Nevermind was a huge success, you could say: Nirvana only became famous because of Smells Like Teen Spirit, then I'd agree with you.

i love hardcore nirvana fans! the music is ok, haven't listened in a while, but nirvana's serious fans are the best.
