My brother doesn't give a shit about me or my stuff. I'm having trouble putting up with him. I'll explain what happened today without exaggerations or anything, I'll give it to you straight. and so you don't get confused, my name is Nathan.

Today, I got on the computer after school, my brother, Erick, was already home. I was playing a game, and about 2 hours went by. He was my DS that I borrowed to him. He got bored of it, he told me he had homework and to get the **** off. I say back, just a minute. Well, I end up on it for 30 more minutes and he's bitching and yelling through most of it.
My Mom got back just as I'm getting off, and he says to her, "Tell Nathan to get the **** off the computer, I have homework!"
she replies, "not with that language"

so, he finally gets on the computer, he shoved my tablet off the desk onto the floor and uninstalled my games I like to play(I bought them again and I'm reinstalling them as I'm typing). And while I'm in the other room I hear him laughing at a T.V. show.

My tablet is acting a bit goofy and I'm ticked. He's at Tai-Kwon-Do right now. I'm looking to deal with the stress right now, I can't take out any anger on him and I wouldn't really bop him one anyways(not my way of doing things/he's a brown belt(7th belt down the row)).

I'm thinking I should just confront him. What would you do? Have anything I can use to keep him from doing this to me? Any advice on putting up with this?

I'm really stressed with school and I have to share this with somebody.

Completely irrelvant: In your signature, may I ask why the skidmarks cross near the beginning? It seems impossible. Or, maybe I'm not thkning straight.

Anyway, if after speaking to him about it doesn't make any changes to his actions towards you/your possessions, start doing the same to him/his possesions. Just sounds like a lack of respect.

Just tell him you don't mess with any of his shit so he shouldn't be messing with yours and that hes over reacting.

Also; if he has homework to do, give him the effing computer. School takes priority, and if hes your older brother, his school is probably alot more stressful than yours and having your little brother not give you the computer to do your homework with is just another annoyance and frustration, giving him an excuse to let out all his anger/frustration out on you. (if he says that he has homework and you give him the computer and you come back 5 minutes later and hes playing, tell him off, thats sort of uncalled for)

Overall just stay out of his way, and he'll probably be a lot happier with that and therefore not mess with you as much. A month or two of this and he'll probably start being a bit nicer to you (protip; little things like handing him a drink or something help this process too) The longer you keep it up, the easier it'll be to deal with him.

Best thing to do is be fair to him, and when hes unfair to you; pull out the argument that you're fair to him so you deserve the same respect that you're putting out.

Speaking from personal experience with my older and only brother and observations of some of my friends who have younger brothers

1. Work to earn money so you can buy a laptop on your own. (or another computer of you like)

That's exactly like me and one of my family members( In my situation, she takes everything as far as she can take it, she deleted my game once, so I deleted hers recently, and i come to find my whole folder is gone, luckily I backed it up). There's not much you can do, other then make them realise, you're not one to be pushed around... AKA, do something radical
