Yeah, peace will take a while. The problem is, all this conflict is doing is strengthening Hamas. Every Palestinian kid who has had their best friend die is going to grow up to blow himself up in a bus. It's BS and if Israel thinks that this is going to solve their long term problem they are kidding themselves.
Sigh. It's just a bad situation.

I was surprised to learn that Israel censors military info and even banned international reporters from conflict areas. Here is an underground site called Israeli Uncensored News http://samsonblinded.org/news which runs some very odd reports.

This might have already been said, but Ive heard that Hamas was holding their missle launchers and everything in public areas so Israel wouldn't be able to destroy them. However, Israel is shooting at them anyways and is saying that its Hamas' fault for putting the launchers there in the first place.

in my opinion, israel is throwing everthing they have at palestine (or was it pakistan?) anyways, it started a looong time ago...
The jews mirated all over the world, leaving behind jerusalem for the Arabs, but after WW2, they started going back to the same area. instantly, religous conflicts arose betwwen the two groups, so the jews asked for an area for themselves. the Arabs thought that the jews were "steamrolling" into their territory and calling it their own. in the end, the jews did get a piece of land, and that pissed off a lot of people. THEN, they decided to nationalize, or create an independant state. Immediatley, almost all the Arab nations in the area attacked israel, but surprisingly, israel won. they DID get their own nation AND a terrible lot of land, so the arabs got angry. Hamas is a terrorist organisation, much like Al-Qaeda, which believes that those isrealites should be all killed. and also, just for the record, its not ISRAEL VS. GAZA, it's more like ISRAEL VS. HAMAS, the gaza strip is just the warzone that israel is trying to capture to push hamas back farther, so that their rockets dont have enough range to hit major cities.
