Halo just doesn't compare, graphically, and I think the storyline isn't as deep as HL2's. (Holy hell, they've gone through 2 full games and 2 Episodes already and we still arent done!)
Plus the ragdolls are fucking awesome.

I might have said Bioshock, but I've never played it.

I was also tempted to pick Metroid Prime, as it was an incredible game trilogy, but... I dunno. Metroid Prime doesn't seem to be in the same league as Half-life.
