I don't know whether to believe this or not. Could this be physically explained? Is it fake? Could it really be a special energy called chi?
discuss (sorry for the length of the post lol)

Mind, Body and Kickass moves did something about this. It's something to do with manipulation of the nerves. I don't remember completely.

I've heard ideas about it being related to the manipulation of adrenaline, actually.
The energy itself is a myth. There's no channel on which it can travel, no clue as to what kind of energy it is, and no reason to suspect it is there.
Those who claim to put it to use are usually either using trickery or they are using a combination of adrenaline and a yet-unexplained form of controlled neuropathic pain.

well that shit with electric shocks and setting paper on fire seems pretty unexplainable bar the fact it could be a trick.

Or it could be completely made up.

That does look pretty cool. The body spasms could be oriented with special places on nerves, but I have no idea how he set that paper on fire.

My mom goes to this spiritual healing thing in some Tui Na massage place and the dude that does the massages is really religious and he meditates daily to Buddha so basically when you go to him, you either get the massage or the spiritual healing. My mom and I went there for spiritual healing and all we had to do was lie on the bed and he'd put his hand on our abdomen area and after a few seconds or so, I would feel heat and not just "body warmth". It gets really hot and I can almost feel it swirling inside of me under his palm. Same goes for my mother.
There's a possibility that it can all be fake, but experiencing it more than once almost kinda convinces me that it's real.

I suppose this could all be just a bunch of BS, but it's still cool. When he shot himself was the best.
EDIT: after the 7 minute mark it gets really good.

LOL THE HEALING DIDN'T WORK BECAUSE THAT GUY DIED ANYWAY. Lolol. ALSO THE DUDE STILL LOST HIS EYE. HEAL FAIL.

That is pretty cool. It probably is real though, as people like that don't have anything to loose.

That's pretty nifty, but everything on that video could be easily faked, so while I wish things like this were true I don't think this video provides any proof. Especially since that guy died, I mean seriously.

the martial art I practice is based heavily around chi (we call it ki, but they are the same thing). we are able to turn someone in to a rag doll by shouting at them, and throw them with no effort whatsoever. it is all the power of the mind.

Scarecrow, you can't fool us.
