Am i the only one tired of seeing all these damn mania's everywhere? everyone has one in their sig, and everyone is trying to make one. Not that their not cool, but really, theyre are so many! I can understand why, its a cool idea having all of these different fighters with different powers but shit, try other things to keep the anims fresh and entertaining.

Heh, well every one wants to do one.
But apart from generic fighting and violence there isn't much to do, and setting up a mania give inspiration, becuase you're given things that are unexpected. E.g : super penis smash attack.

I honestly don't see what is so terribly bad about manias. Sure, many people have been doing it, but does that really matter? Manias allows people to be a part of a bigger animation, gives the animator many ideas that can be worked with, and also puts a pressure on the animator to actually finish. It even brings people together, as they can talk about the animation in the mania thread, on a more "personal" (as far as being personal talking about an animation online goes) level, since they were actually in it. I'd find it much more enjoyable to watch a stick fight with ten different people (that I knew, however slightly, from the forum), doing awesome shit with original powers, than yet another two black sticks doing cool combos for ten seconds animation.

Seriously, I fucking hate it when people mess their "there theirs and they're"'s up. Someone had a reminder in their sig, though I can't remember who.

I like smashing another members head with a huge hammer without having to animate it myself.

Dude, he got them right...

When someone makes a mania, people think "wow, I wanna do one of those!" And they do. Then others see it, and think "wow, I wanna do one of those!" And they do. And people see it. That doesn't work with anything else. You don't get people doing their own throw-a-pie-in-face collab, because it would be a blatant ripoff. That's the advantage that manias have. They also include other people, and create a sense of community.

Agreed. People should shut the **** up. People who dislike manias are dumb shits to be honest. A MANIA IS JUST A MOVIE WITH MEMBERS IN IT WOOOOOOOOOW. COME ONE. What's more fun? A movie with random sticks in it getting killed. Or a movie with people you know as sticks getting killed. I think more agree that seeing people you know fight is much cooler.

byrando youve got some strong feelings for it man, i guess the main thing is that it sucks seeing a good idea (such as a mania) than seeing it done so wrong or not dont well, it also makes the "mania" theme less unique when their are so many of them.
