View Profile Man, there's a lot of hype over this movie. I should see it!
It DID win 8 oscars.
that movie is epic, i loved it. I even bought it. strange thing is, this movie was made on a short budget AND was massively critisized by the indian population for including the wird "slumdog" in the title.

View Profile short budget = $15 million?
meh, most are like $100 milion for a movie like this one. actually, the celebrity in the beginning of the movie isn't the actual person, because he didn't want to be in a movie that
1. was made by a brit,
2. included "slumdog" in the title.

That actually is a pretty short budget. Hell, Army of Darkness is a low budget film, and it was filmed for $11 million, and even Juno, a film that required only limited facilities, no special effects, and nothing fancy (Even the score was filled with pretty cheap liscensed songs) and it's budget was $6.5 million.
$15 million's not a tiny budget, but compared to general fare, it's relatively low.

The Truman Show has a similar concept (Not a game show exactly, but still a show) and it was filmed for $60 million.

View Profile Saw the movie two days ago with my friends.
Then we saw Friday the 13th right after. And we forgot all about Slumdog.
Good movie though; I thought it was a pretty good idea of how he wouldn't know any of the answers without experiencing any of the shit in his childhood.

View Profile Seen the movie 2 days ago. Great movie. Sucks that because of my lag, and the way I sometimes watch videos. (Freaking 5 minutes, then talk, 5 minutes, then talk) I am completly OOOOUT of the movie.
I had the same with click. I just watched it a few minutes ago. GREAT story, but It felt really normal/meh to me because of that >:| I'm pissed off because of that because I wanted to cry! lmao.
Same with wall-e, dark knight etc >: I all thought they were ok, but they didn't leave me anything to remember...I should fcking fix the lag, or burn it and watch it on tv.. I'll do that next time.
