Now, at the topic at hand, try installing an earlier version of Windows Live Messenger, as they use different installers, it should work, and the features do not change significantly. If this does not work, then I suggest seeking help on another forum, this forum is too immature for such things

Nahh, that doesn't work either. All the installation programs tell the same error: Messenger is already installed.
Or it DOES install but then MSN says there is a newer version, then you HAVE to upload, otherwise you can't log-in.

Then I suggest he asks another forum. I provided a link to one earlier.
