No need to flame me. These are not my beliefs. I was asked why some people have a problem with it. I don't.

Sure, why not. It's freewill. If they want to be homosexual why stop them. It's not they're fault, its a disease given by birth.

fagitism is not a disorder or anything by birth. There is no gay gene ether. it's just people who have gotten themselves confused somewhere along the lines of their lives.

stop spouting shit in the debate section. People don't choose to be gay, and no, they didn't just "get confused somewhere along the line".

Homosexuality is caused by the amount of hormones, which are determined when the baby is in the womb.

Call homosexuality "fagitism" or use any kind of insultive word for it and I'll ban you for trolling, mr. Funny. If you don't know enough, stay out of the debate section.

What makes people gay? Biologists may never get a complete answer to that question, but researchers in Sweden have found one more sign that the answer lies in the structure of the brain.

Scientists at the Karolinska Institute studied brain scans of 90 gay and straight men and women, and found that the size of the two symmetrical halves of the brains of gay men more closely resembled those of straight women than they did straight men. In heterosexual women, the two halves of the brain are more or less the same size. In heterosexual men, the right hemisphere is slightly larger. Scans of the brains of gay men in the study, however, showed that their hemispheres were relatively symmetrical, like those of straight women, while the brains of homosexual women were asymmetrical like those of straight men. The number of nerves connecting the two sides of the brains of gay men were also more like the number in heterosexual women than in straight men.

I would post the url but apparently I can't, since I don't have 20 posts yet.

And oh yeah ... Sun, 2-D wasn't being a racist by calling you a nigger(you reported him). Since you live in Slovenia like I do, I can see how can you misunderstand this.

I don't know how to explain this. It's kinda like "dude" in this context.

Should we make fun of gays and lesbians?

no:

Many people feel attracted to people of the same sex, and wonder whether this means that they are gay. For many people these feelings can be very intense and alienating. Some people who are attracted to people of the same sex are gay and go on to have gay sexual relationships. But other people who have gay feelings find that these change over time.

Some people are bisexual and are attracted to both men and women, and have relationships with both. Some people are not attracted to anyone and wonder if this is a sign of homosexuality. Often it is only time that will resolve these uncertainties.

many people go through a bisexual/gay phase and turn out to be incredibly nice people, so no... you shouldn't make fun of them

Should they ban same sex marriages?

Only if the chosen "couple" wishes to have a child, as ...imagine how bad it would be to grow up with 2 dads/mums...

I tried to find the clip on youtube but I couldn't so I'll have to quote. This is from comedian Frankie Boyle:

I'd have loved to have had a gay dad when I was at school. Remember all that stuff about "my dad'll beat your dad, my dad'll beat your dad", well my dad'll SHAG your dad. - And your dad'll enjoy it.

Extremekid I couldn't say it better.

Imagine you were an adopted child of 2 dads.
Your whole life would be a mess.

First, you would find out on your own sooner or later that your adopted by 2 dads and thats is a huge burden to carry by itself. When you go to school people WILL make fun of you all the time and you will most probably got no friends or little. Collage will be pretty much the same, bully's will do pranks on you and kick the shit out of you pretty much everyday. When you get a job, you wont get laughed at your face, but most probably your co-workers will laugh at you behind your back.
And finally, when you find a lovely girl you intend to marry her, do you imagine how hard it should be to take her meet your parents and how harder it will be for her parents to understand that ?
Your life would be twice as hard as a normal child's.

Note: This is not a fact, but this is the most probable scenario that IMO would happen.

@ Mantha: I'm a gameserver administrator at 21 CS:S servers, and saying "nigger" is a racist remark and gets you an instant long ban. I just thought the same applies here. Sorry for the trouble.

I disagree.

Firstly, I know two people personally who were adopted and neither of them have any trauma, desire to find their biological parents, depression or anything.

Secondly, homosexuality doesn't get you bullied as much as it used to these days. Three guys came out at my old school and the only effect was that whenever someone wanted to use a generalised insult towards them they would replace gay with straight, ie. f*** of straight boy, where a genuinely straight person would be told f*** of gay boy.
