Because this "Key of succes" thing is kind of lazy, let me contribute with a better explained one:
First of all, try to make storyboards. That means, doodle in real what's going to happen for the round. For example, if the subject is "Breaking into a labratorium" You can doodle like Scene 1: Stick shows up. Scene 2: Stick breaks trough wall. Scene 3: Stick meets guards. Etc. etc.
Second, try to join ALL the rounds to get your maximum amount of points.
Third, put as much as effort as you can in your animations, don't try to be lazy. If you're not happy with what you animated, delete the frames which are bad and re-do them.
Also, these rounds are going to have effects related stuff in it. If you're not good with effects, like me, try to play around with different filters on different layers with different tweens. It might come out very neat ;-)
Oh, and don't just tween your smoke this time, actually animate particles, that will score better for sure!
When you make your round, shut down your browser, chat devices and open up some music, it'll help!
When you make your round, get yourself a comfortabel chair, and make sure things you might need are in reach of hand, so you don't have to stand up. This is very good to not lose interest, and you will be done much earlier, which gives you the option to re-do some of your moves or legs which might be wobbly!
That's what I'm going to do, I hope it helped.
