Hey, the second animation in two years, a quick short. Just testing out different weather effects that I've never tried before.

Little tip.
Don't animate the sticks.. animate the wind. Think about it.

When you say "The physics and easing were wrong too", what does this mean? I hate it when people say something's wrong but they don't specify.


And I animated the wind as an effect. I also noticed that the .stk was animated quite a bit in that animation.

He was probably talking about how when the stick was being pushed up into the air. The easing was inconsistent, which means the stick didn't glide smoothly enough to make it look real. And at the end, the stick wouldn't just stop like that and fall. :|
The animation was pretty original, and you use of effects was pretty good though. Keep at it.

And yeah, i'd have to agree with Dark about all the easing and physics stuff.

Agreed here with you. Dude just becuase your better than everyone else doesnt mean you have to tell everyones work is 'utter shit' I lost respect when i began reading your posts. Each one was negative.


To the animation i like the rain and the wind effect, however the part in the air with the umbrella is a little off, i think with a bit of practice you could do it.

Ok there were some issues with the motion, it was a little jittery.. but thats just something you can work on. the concept was original, for picot anyway. Doing rain like that looked great. The wind was nice. The stick figure wasn't too great, but you can download others when you want to make more animations. I suggest finding a human like figure, it would look a lot better in pivot.

Don't be disheartened by some of the idiots here, they don't know how to constructively criticize work and simply leave you with comments like "this is shit"

i really like the stick figure and your style, its kinda boring watching epic fights in every post so i really liked seeing this one
