I personally don't like rap, but hip hop is different, and this band puts a good impression on me about all sorts of stuff. Great band.

Uh, no it's not. Hip-hop is the genre. Rap is the vocal style known to the genre. but sometimes it is known as "rap" as a nickname for the genre because the style is the genre's claim to fame.

And in hip-hop there are no bands. They're known as groups.

I should really make a thread to clarify this so that people who don't have much experience with the genre don't keep making this mistake.
