I haven't seen this subject for a while and with the U.S. becoming closer to legalizing it in California, I feel that it is important. What are your views on legilization, ownership, and sale of marijuana.

I wholeheartedly agree with it. I think that it should be sold legally to anyone above the age of say 15 from shops, as to not get weed with other shit in it like some dealers do, and to stop immature kids from getting their hands on it and causing mischief. I'm 14, so I can't talk, but most people my age I've seen that's had it are really immature about it and go around smashing windows etc etc (though they probably only do that for attention). My mom was having a conversation with me about it, and she seems to think weed is really bad for you etc etc. If anyone has a link to answer all her stupid questions it would be appreciated.

I agree with it. When I get home, I'll give you a link that has answered all of my questions of marijuana.

haha legal at 15, you wish.
if it was legalized, the legal age would probably be 18 or 21.
personally, i don't see a point in keeping it illegal.
coming from someone who doesn't smoke.

Well if you don't know by now I fully support the idea of legalization and taxation for the plant of cannabis sativa. I emailed my representatives a couple of times, and of course I aways got a pre-written reply. But still its something, and I want to start doing more to help support the unjust laws against this relatively harmless plant.
Fuuuck no, 15 is too young, at that age the brain is still developing and if taken cannabis use can cause lethargy, but only at a young age like that. 18 is a good age I think, or maybe even 21 for the first couple of years so as the transition from banned substance to legal right is more easy.
I would love to give you links, to start off here is a basic one that discusses most concerns made by parents, and if you look the citations are from harvard and various medical places etc. But if you want more detailed and such feel free to ask and I'm positive I can change your mom's mind with just straight truth.

the younger the age of legality the easier it is to get for the younger kids, typically through friends. one reason why the alcohol age is 21 and not 18.

Not only that, it's actually easier for kids to get illegal drugs because of the legal laws against it. The dealer doesn't care how old you are, but a government funded worker who will lose his job if he sells it to the wrong people does. So all the politicians who are talking about protecting the kids are actually making things worse.

lol, is that really one of the reasons.
it would be more dangerous for a kid to go to a dealer to get weed, which for all he knows could be laced with something to get him to come back, i'm sure its happened, or get shot, then to get it from a friend/bro who bought it from a shop

No it doesn't. And I'm not just saying that because he said something negative about cannabis, but it really doesn't.

Oh right I see, I just thought that as cigs are allowed at 16, around that age would be OK for weed, as weed is aparrently not as bad for you as fags.

Alcohol is 18 over here.

I don't even smoke it, and I think that as long as alcohol is legal, it should be legal.

If you clicked his link it explained.
"its use by children or adolescents is discouraged."
It's the same reason why kids and pregnant moms shouldn't drink alcohol. When the brain is still developing you don't want to give it these things.

I don't even know whys it still illegal.
An age limit of 18 would be ok tho.

Well I think I must have remembered whatever I heard or read wrong because I can't find any. Please forgive me, there is a shitload of info to memorize and think of, even the young and beautiful like me can sometimes make mistakes. I still think 15 is too young though.

Not even close to how much cigs are bad for you, but I still think 18 is the right age, that young and you're too unexperienced for it, I think.

That's a dumb reason to support the legalization and taxation of the plant cannabis sativa.
You're pretty much saying that if alcohol was made illegal, then cannabis should also be illegal.
That's wrong. I'll give you details for why if you ask why and actually care.
