Much fun. I realize that a button at the end of the first tutorial doesn't work, but I can't do anything about it because I dumped the fla ages ago.

I felt cramped the whole time, the stage wasn't big enough. Well, I probably won't make a tut in this format again, but hooray.

Enjoy it and learn things. I did so much tracing... I took screenshots of those windows and traced them... It took me forever.

I FORGOT A PART!

IMPORTANT--

To make the movie stop on the frame with your button:

1. Click on the frame with your button.
2. Go to Window>Actions.
3. Type this: stop();
4. Try it out! This makes the movie stop on the frame with your button on it, so they user has to click your button to continue.

That really helped me a lot! Thanks FyFy!
I've been trying to figure out how to do the Play button, but instead of asking someone, I just looked for tutorials and got tired of it.
On top of that, this tutorial is very good. It goes into a lot of depth, and while I would have like even more screenshots, they are unnecessary and since the ones you had were already a hassle, they would probably be overwhelmingly taxing on your patience.

Fo real.

I made this because I was tired of all of the absolute CRAP tutorials on Newgrounds that weren't clear enough for anyone to understand. It took me a long long time to learn how to make buttons, and I did almost all of it by myself. This is very unfortunate, however, and the few of people that get to see this won't be so confused. Hooray. : D

Cookie time.

Why the f*** did you traced those screenshots instead of just importing them? A waste of time if you ask me...

Nice tut.

As other people said, graphics could've been better.

Because.

If I had imported them, they would have been ridiculously low-quality, borderline unreadable, and semi-useless. I traced them, and it looked so much better I did it with almost everything (except maybeh one).

Try using script assist then click: global functions> timeline control> goto.

type in the current scene and the frame number click goto and play.

Than the code will auto appear and will have no syntax errors

then add a layer and click on the keyframe then click script assist again then global functions> timeline control> stop (stop frame)
