i no all the physics and stuff from pivot and i no the physics arent the best in this, but still first in flash FTW!!!

it's horrible...surprisingly many mistakes for how short and simple it was.
the ball randomly swerves left mid-drop...looks wrong
the bounce isnt awful but doesnt look right
why did it randomly swerve left? :S
oh yeah i just watched again and the bounce is very inconsistent. it bounces high but not far in the first bounce...and on the second bounce you did the right thing by making it bounce less high but suddenly it boucnes like 3x as far?! not good

well considering it is my first flash animation ever, and i did it in about 2 mins

Well don't post it if it took you 2 minutes. Rushing isn't an excuse; you are as good as what you post.
You need to work on... physics. You have too much hang time and too much acceleration.

ok thanks for the c + c

lol. That's like, a 30 second anima. You only have to press F6 and move the arrow keys.
I don't see how you can mess this up. Sure it's your first flash animation, but you used to pivot. Same principle, different program =/

i have been pressing f7 and re drawing the ball :S

lol wow.
That's kind of easier if you're using a brush size and clicking.
F8 and convert things to symbols next time.
And don't ask me how to use flash -_- I hate trying to teach people. Someone teach me to use ****ing 3D's Max!

haha i wont ask

you suck ass at physics. Dont do shit like this if you wont at least put the effort to use LOGIC.

Bad, very bad. I have advice for you: You must animate longer and sacrifice time, for your animations...
Mar 11, 2009 5:57 PM #372285
Lol, terc, your'e better than that.

Quote from Tercwell considering it is my first flash animation ever, and i did it in about 2 mins
Thats not an argument, wanna become good animator ? Then dont post here animations you made in 2 minutes, animate something longer.
the animation wasnt bad, it was okay but there were some big mistakes, first, the direction of the bouncing, it should go forward, its logical.. (dont tell me, theres a wind blowing and pushing it to the other side, dont !)
the physics was off, you have to remove some frames to make more "realistic" if you wanted it to look cartoony, you should add more easing, it should be like bounce, speeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed up, easing out (2-3 frames) then barely move (1-2 frames) then speeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed up and fall down, then hit the ground.
Thats the criticism I hope you can accept it.

It wasn't too bad, but it wasn't that good either.
The physics were off, and the ball bounce was pretty bad.
You shouldn't have rushed either.
