well...um...i guess it depends on what type of explosion you were going for...it's ok for a quick, cartoony explsion but for a "serious" animation then it wasn't that good

That is more of a shater explosion. Try to make the asing of an explosion more like this:

this is yours:
||.....|..........................|....................shater.

how it should be:

||........................................|....|||||disappear.
