So, what version of Linux is best for installing just to use with firefox? We want it to be built like Windows.

Err... I put that there because it was me, Ash, that posted the thread. It also explains the use of the pronoun "we".

And I don't see how putting my name in there says that we are dating.

Also, Ubuntu is a pretty popular linux distro, it runs a lot like windows so it's easy to adjust to. If you want a really really minimalistic operating system, possibly for an older machine, try DSL (Damn Small Linux).

Ubuntu also is debugged fairly frequently and is a nice little OS, though DSL is nice, at times.
