Maybe it cures the incredible pain from it and has your mind on skittles and dorritos as opposed to craving for human flesh.

You know, there's also that thing called Tamaflu, the vaccine for any strand of influenza. And there's also the fact that swine flu is just the regular flu, but it is part pig now (AKA there's absolutely no difference danger wise/treatment wise to the normal flu).
The only difference is that it infects pigs.

Are you knocking up girls again?

Also KD, are you sure about the 20-45 age group?
Because its said that little kids that catch it will remain more time with the virus active.

Yes it does affect tiny children, but I'm taking them out of the matter. The only reason poeple die over the flu, is becuase their immune-system over reacts to it. People over 45 have a weaker immune system which reacts less.

You get me.

EDIT: I just found out, that when the virus had mutated from mexico, the strain became weaker. Good news guys, It's not going to be as bad as it was in mexico. This might even die out quicker than I expected.

Aaaaaaaagggghhhhhhhhhhh swine flu it's like Y2K all over again!!!!!

y2k was speculation that something horrible was going to happen at a certain date and time.

swine flu is a virus going around that can potentially kill you if you don't get treated.

they aren't related at all.

if anything, swine flu is more like the bird flu, or SARS.

Aww shit: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090427/ap_on_bi_ge/med_swine_flu_reality_check

The Spanish Flu (was also known as the Swine Flu at the time) of 1918 - 1919 started the same way the Swine Flu started in Mexico. Hit during Spring time and a new wave started around Fall, taking out 20 - 50 million people worldwide.

shiiiiiit

As you stated, the Spanish Flue occurred in 1918. We are much more prepared for pandemics and we have protocols on how to act when a disease strikes. As it shows in the news, people are wearing air masks, and that is a good way to prevent the transmission of the virus.

oh god oh god oh god, a barely deadly (EASILY medically treatable) disease has killed a grand total of 80 MOTHER****ING PEOPLE, aka far less than the annual death toll of the regular flu. Oh and it already has a vaccine.

Jesus christ...
Normal flue and swine flue are 2 different things.
Just because we developed vaccine for normal flue, doesn't mean we can use it against swine flue alike.
FYI, normal flue mutates every year, and adaptations are made to the vaccine every year to make it effective.
And, FYI, we have yet to create a vaccine for swine flue.

I've seen some very stupid posts in this thread, especially from people who don't have any idea that swine flue can mutate to a deadly virus in any moment, and it has the potential to wipe out humanity.

Vegens will die when the virus mutates into a human contagious strain.

Vegans will die of lack of proper nutrition
