So I went to watch the movie with my friends tonight.
(Minor spoilers, opinion may influence watching of the movie, do not read if you want to experience it fresh and without bias.)
And it started off pretty good, except that Wolverine's Canadian, which is pretty gay.
Anyways.
It just got progressively work and once you get past the first thirty minutes or so it's pretty much shit.
Most of the acting was hammy, a lot of the scenes were way to cheesy (I'm looking at you exploding helicopter), most of the jokes were stupid and it shied away from several things that I thought were ridiculous, like running over a body on the road or a little bit of blood on Wolverines blades.
Most of the effects sucked ass. And it wasn't style, they just sucked.
I was really disapointed because it could have been an amazing movie but it was ruined by cheesy scenes, crappy acting, shitty effects, and not enough sex (read, none), the plot line wasn't even really all that great and a lot of the things they did were so lame and predictable that it made me want to cry.
Was it enjoyable to watch? Yes. Did it suck? No. Would I pay $8 to watch it again? No way jose. (Or if you're black, Hoe-Say)
Wolverine Orgins and whatnot

I saw it today, wasn't expecting anything more. Really, it was never going to be anything more than fighting mutants blowing up helicopters and making crap jokes. Still, I enjoyed it, it was what I expected.

I liked it.
But I wouldn't pay to see it again.

Better than X-Men 3, as good as X-Men, and not as good as X-Men 2.
The highlight of the experience was the trailer for District ****ing 9 was shown!

I'm going to see it sometime soon; it made like 80 million in the first opening weekend.
I heard there's a lot of eye candy and visuals in the movie. Looks good.

Yeah, there's lots of really great action scenes.
Plus it's filled with nods to the fans.

SPP: Come for the sticks, stay to pretend to be a movie critic.
Who was Will.I.Am's character supposed to be? Because he could teleport like Nightcrawler, but he was black and didn't have a tail.

He's one of those X-Men characters that noone remembers or cares about, mainly because their powers are almost exactly the same as someone elses. I call them Dundees, both becasue they're reDUNDant, and because noone cares about the Crocodile Dundee films.

Oh, true. I thought it was kind of lame, though how Deadpool had swords that came out of his wrists like Wolverine. That seemed more like the whole corny "shadow fight" scene superheroes only really fight in the cartoons.

I also saw it, and they really messed Deadpool's origin up, I think their next one should be about Dr.X & Magneto to be good.

I don't think it's that they messed it up. I think they were trying to put an original spin on the X-Men series. Which is why Silver Fox's powers are tactile hypnosis rather than Hayden Panettiere-esque healing.
Now that I realize it, a lot of the mutant's powers originally involve some form of super fast healing powers.
