Those are his terms, buddy. This isn't "which is the best shooter", but a "which would you prefer".

I would say CoD, it would last longer with deeper strategic play.

GoW never really interested me, so no point in considering that one. Halo 3 I didn't enjoy, multiplayer wasn't so bad though. CoD, don't like 3 or 5, 1 and 4 are, in my opinion, some of the best shooting based games I've played, and I put them up there with TF2. So yea, probably CoD, preferably 1 on PC and 4 on Xbox.

I prefer the CoD series (the ones that Infinity Ward made, not the creator of 3 and 5) because you're not 'supreme chosen one set out to save the universe', you're just another member of a huge army, and around that, you can make good storylines (in particular the 4th, the rest are just WW2, but they still incorperate a bit of original story in the cutscenes). Of course, at the end of the day, they're fun to play, and that's all that really matters.

ive only played cod 4 out of all the cod games but i think its amazing. gow is my #1

I like CoD 4, but then again each year its basically the same game. Halo 3 is soooooooo bad, I enjoyed it due to it being so easy when I got my xbox, now I only play it because its the only game one of my friend has so I just play in forge. Gears of War 2 (1.5) I enjoy playing a lot, but when I started off I hated it, the game requires a lot of frequent playing to play well, there are too many glitches for me to have to play that game and only it.

I reckon I could live without needing to play video games.
