Hey Pirate, do you have any problem with harsh noise? I have several albums of the stuff.
Otherwise I'm pretty sure I have some very good stuff from venetian snares you might be interested in. Add me on msn if i haven't got you already

Quote from The PirateHello Internet. I require your assistance.
I'm working on a video for my media class. The theme of the video is an acid trip, more specifically, a psychedelic video purposely assaulting to the senses. Most peoples projects just end up looking like the scene changes in That 70s Show, we've decided to take a different approach to the project.
Our video is going to be a terrifying, bad acid trip. In order to properly terrify the hapless viewers of our project, sound effects are key.
That's where I need your help. I humbly request your most terrifying sound effects, and music, perhaps video clips as well if you have any. For sound effects I'd really like to create the kind of soundscape found in somebody's videos, with ominous ambience and loud, abrasive static pops and whatnot. Something along the lines of this, would be perfect.
For music, anything ominous, dissonant, and perhaps glitchy sounding. Something without lyrics or a drumbeat would be preferable. Some quiet, eerie ambient music would be nice as well, to create some tension between the loud parts of the video.
Hopefully that gives you some idea of the effect I'm trying to create.
Thanks much.
I reccomend the usage of the odd grindy sounds at the beginning of Tool's Prison Sex. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5sIXUbMgF0

While we speak of Tool's songs, their song "Disgustipated" should do the trick imo.

There are few things in the world scarier than the Boobahs. If you can filter the music out you might get some decently scary sound effects as well.

I recommend starting off with some beautiful calm melody and then kick off to something really strange, everyone will be confused, and with visuals added it will be a a psychedelic treat.

That's more of a scary theme. We need something pretty and soothing, and then like a pause and something really weird starts.

Quote from The PirateI'm not asking that you create music and sound effects for me
Too bad, because I could totally do it
I have at least three synthesizers that can create some really weird drone ambiance.

Those are both old examples I made for Ash's zombie game, and I'd be willing to do the same thing. That was using only one of the synths I have now.
I also have a good bit of loud abrasive shit for screamers and the like, if you're going to put them in the video. Add me on AIM if you're interested
