Well, I know this might seem stupid at first, but lets just talk about it =D
It was a normal day today.I woke up, I drew something in flash, I was chatting with my friends, then I had lunch, had coffee, I went back to my room and I wanted to check whats the time, as you can see there was "1337" I want to talk about random things, because it happens time to time, is it really random then ?
For example, I used to believe in the Doomsday in 2012, I was like "oh, post apocalyptic surviving would be fun" you know, I always dreamed about it, just me as 20 year old guy, killing zombies, surviving in the wasteland. It all seemed pretty nice. But I've changed my mind recently, because of following:
- I had a weird dream of me being near by Gas-pipe explosion
- the next day I found on google new pipe-line thats gonna be finished in 2012
- On the condom in my pocket theres written "10-2012"
- Image (do you see the skull at the very left ?) I saw that 2 years ago, in the middle of this "skull" there's gonna be the pipe-line
- its 2009 and Im 17, Im gonna be 20 in 2012
- and finally the clock situation, I saw 20:12 =D

These are just random situations, but what do you get when you connect them ?

No, I dont do drugs, I like beer and Im heterosexual.

Whoa, that sure as hell is weird. Although I don't believe in this 2012 bullcrap, and I certainly don't see a skull, and I do not believe your condom has something to do with this, it sure is weird.

I don't see a skull in the map.

And it's a similar phenomenom to finding Mother Teresa or the Virgin Mary in your toast. The human mind is programmed to recognise faces, this is why we see so many faces in odd things. Look it up.

Also, why do us humans always see everything connected? It's just a series of events, Tawnik, a random series of events. I always have dreams of being eaten by sharks, and then I hear that because of Global Warming the UK coasts will attract sharks as the water will be warmer. This doesn't mean anything. Your brain which creates the dreams knows as much about you as you do, as in, it can't tell the future.

It's a nice thought, all this hocus-pocus dreaming your death and coincidences leading up to something big, but it's just coincidences.

How many times have you looked at the clock and it has not been 20:12?

I often wake up at 09:11, this doesn't mean anything to me. I'm not criticising your thoughts or debate, I would like it if there was all these signs of what's to come, but unfortunately I don't think there is. Us humans are too clever and thoughtful for our own good.

You have an obsession with the numbers 2012, and 20, and pipelines. Hence when you see or hear anything to do with them you remember them, and not all the other numbers you've seen.

Numerology is bullshit.

I guarantee that if you were to start looking for the number 504 right now, you'd find it everywhere.

The only reason that number seems significant is because you heard about one of thousands of prophecies for thousands of different dates that just happens to be 2012.

GROW A BRAIN.

you just couldn't help but add the bit at the end could you? sigh.

@Tawnik: how in hell does that blob even look like a skull? It's quite a bit of a stretch... And also, think about this: That "skull" has been there for all of history. Why would it just happen to signify somekind of killer pipeline on 2012? It could signify anything. Or, more likely, it signifies nothing.

Just now I drew a skull on a scrap of paper I had near by. I bet my life that nothing interesting happens to that piece of paper beyond what would normally happen in terms of recycling etc. If I am wrong with no reasonable explanation as regards the massive statistical anomaly of both me saying this and it happening, then I renounce my atheism totally and will burn any books I find that explain anything about mathematics or science.

No =D
It was just an example, I mean RANDOM things in general, I see your point, but how the hell could I know about the pipeline 2 years ago ? I didnt hear a shit about it before the dream.. THAT is weird, If it was like this:
- I saw a movie about doomsday 2012
- I had the dream
- I saw the skull
- 20:12 on my clock
- condom

that would be pretty normal, but as I said I saw that skull 2 ****ing years ago, I didnt know about the pipeline, I didnt know anything about the Mayas thingy..

That was just one example..
And how come people can "Deja-vu" ? I mean the real deja-vu, when you can say what's going to happen.

Can they? I've never seen any evidence of that. I've felt deja-vu before as I understood it (ie. I get the strong feeling that I've been in the situation before) but that can be explained. Accurately predicting the future without advanced calculations on a sub-atomic level is something I would like to see though.

He's talking about a landmass that looks like a skull, which is a a far cry from a piece of paper. And you didn't really make a point, except to say how ridiculous his theory is, but you didn't explain why it is ridiculous.

Uh, now I'll try to explain how it works when you manage to have deja-vu, lets say brain is a calculator, you are the user. You type 25768x298752, you dont know the answer, you have to let your calculator to calculate it, then you receive it and you can use it.Usually you need millions of calculations everyday, some may be similar and some may be the same, you dont have to use your calculator if you're sure, maybe you can guess and maybe you already know the outcome. That's déja-vu.

Thank you Dragon⁰⁷⁷

So the fact that I know 13^2=169 means that I will experience deja-vu when I type it in? This seems more like knowledge from experience than predicting the future. If you were to start an engineering project and someone said "I predict this project will experience unforseen delays," he's not being mystical, he knows from working in the past that almost all projects will be delayed on some level.
