K, i'm starting anew with my anims seeing as my old comp had all it's files deleted and has stopped working.
So this is where my new flash anims will lie.
Anyways, here is a link to a 10 sec flash i did last night, took me 12 mins including BG and many screw ups.

The last frame is screwed up and skips back to the first screen.
But i will be using the BG AND Terkoiz for another anim (another short one) just so the guys who have been nagging me will shut up.
Anyways, don't expect Terkoiz good, but don't think it'll suck.
Biya for now guys :D

(p.s. some c & c would be good, although i know my BG's need to be improved (city-scape wise))

EDIT: So i speed anim'd it and i just realised that if i can do 10 secs in that time, then i could do a min in 3-6 days if i had the motivation.
I've gotten so much better (in both fluidity of animation and speed in which i work) since i last animated (6 months D:, so long! (But that's as far as i can remember, i think it was longer?))

I'm happy :D

criticism?
Running cycle is not something i'm proud of, basically the first 5 secs, but when he stops and punches Terkoiz is my fave part cos that's the first time i've done that whole "angled into a punch" thing. And animating a guy recoiling from the punch while seated.
But when he stopped he should have been angled slightly, and more easing.
:| eh, i did it in 12 mins so it's not like i paid attention to the details :|

that was, wierd. i expected it to be longer. nice bg and stickfigs. i'll be waiting for a longer one.

Yeh, if my mum would stop being a ****ing stupid bitch and make me go on a ****ing wild goose chase to find one ****ing foreign word, then i might have a chance to get some animations done...

Your BG was pretty good, better than anything my uncreative mind could recreate. But when using scaped backgrounds, it is important to make sure that the characters follow along a certain axis on the established ground. It makes it look more realistic. Because when he walked it did not seem like his feet were actually planted on the ground as much as it did seem like he was kindof a floating figure.

yeh, i had to do it without the background so i could see the bottom of the screen.
In my extended/remade version with actual fighting in it, i will make him walk along that axis, but of course, i was speed animating so i didn't pay that much attention. But that's still no reason :P

Okay, my turn now.

The hit had no power, but I suppose it was meant to be like that.

It was stiff, and some parts need more easing.

If you want to animate with a BG while still seeing the bottom of the screen you can just do what I do.

I select the BG then move it to the left until I can see the canvas, then I trim the parts that extend out of it, or I just scale it. This way you can always assume that as long as your stick is on the background, he is on the canvas.
