What's your least favourite music genre?
I'd have to say Rap and Heavy Metal.
I can't get into Rap, it's just using someone's voice as percussion, and, to be honest, the lyrics to the more popular Rap songs are atrociously offensive, all those misogynistic lyrics and swearing. I mean, they Rap against racism yet they use those same words that they don't want people to say in their own Raps. I bet there's Rap out there that isn't like that but it just sounds so angry and hateful and why would I want to listen to that?
Heavy Metal is awful. The melody is hidden in men screaming and just acting like 'tards. Guitar soloes can be good but you can't hear what they're singing most of the time and it just sounds like a clash of noise to me.

Mainstream rap is no good, as with any genre, there's gold to be found if you look hard enough.
I'm a huge metal fan, but I get where you're coming from. I'd recommend progressive metal because you still get all the sweet solos (some of the best in music in most people's opinion), but without the screamo aspect.
I can't stand pop, all the songs sound exactly the same to me, and it gets repetitive fast.

Those are some pretty big generalizations. Sure in the case of the mainstream stuff you hear on the radio or see on MTV, yeah you're right, but isn't that the case for every single popular music genre? To say that it's all misogynistic and angry and hateful is just dumb.
Just look at these songs

And I absolutely hate it when people over-analyze something they don't particularly like, or in this case, don't understand, and then downplay it. "oh its just vocal percussion over a beat durrrr". I'm not asking you to like hip-hop. I'm just asking you to acknowledge the fact that it is indeed a genre of ingenuity and knowledge. It's basically musical poetry. Anyone can make a song that has a bit of a rhyme scheme and call it hip-hop, but it actually takes knowledge of the world around you to make it actually good. Between the illusions, metaphors and wordplay, how can you downplay it? I don't know, but for me, lyrical content doesn't really matter as long as their clever with it. They can be bragging about how they made it to the top, but as long as they do it in a clever way that actually surprises me because I didn't see it coming ("We make headlines like corduroy pillows." - Celph Titled), then I can appreciate it. You shouldn't always have to write about something beautiful or fundamental in order to make a good song.

It's just personal preference ._.

I'm not saying anything about that. I already said I don't care if you like it or not. I was just annoyed that you downplayed it as nothing more than vocal percussion. That and the whole generalizing thing everyone does on this site.

Fine.
I persoanlly dislike, Rap and R&B as apposed to other genres. It is only my personal opinion, and I'm not saying the singers/bands from those genres don't have talent.

Hip-Hop, Rap and Heavy metal. Some Emocore too, I just don't get it. They scream and they all look the same to me.

I've just remembered a genre I so couldn't listen to.
Turbofolk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jk5K3me5ahk
National music, mostly for old geezers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZ7BSDDxbz4
And oh yeah, turbofolk's lyrics here are mostly on about young girls and boys going up to the haystall and have sex.

I hate Punk. Not the Greenday wannabe-punk, but the real, 80's underground east Berlin punk. Terrible.
And Death/Black/Speed Metal.
